Concert/Performance. Role: Content Production and Video Mapping. Contribution: Visuals for the KDM Königin der Macht concert/peformance. Wiener Festwochen, Vienna (AT). (June 18)
“Words like swords, words like razor blades. Precise as if they are tailor-made.” Using words as weapons, KDM Königin der Macht declares war on the patriarchy. The glamorous underground queen raps against the violent “cis-tem,” proclaiming resistance from the stage. No longer a queer-feminist outsider commenting from the sidelines, KDM cuts directly where it hurts, stealing the show from every skeptic.
Myassa Kraitt is an artist, performer, dancer, rapper, and educational anthropologist. Since 2020, she has served on the board of WIENWOCHE – Festival for Art and Activism. Her artistic focus and research center on direct and indirect forms of violence, epistemic violence, alterity, and necropolitics, alongside an exploration of Iraq during and after the invasion. Through her interdisciplinary performance project KDM Königin der Macht, she fuses rap and performance to bring queer-feminist and decolonial discourses to the stage as a form of anti-discriminatory practice.
