Dancinhas is a dance performance with live music that takes on a colourful journey fuelled by Brazilian dance and music styles. Driven by the desire to pulsate the heart and celebrate togetherness, the two dancers, Helena and Evandro, take inspiration from the essence of distinct Brazilian dances, to manifest on stage, different characteristics such as the energetic rhythms of samba, the fluidity of bossa nova, the energy of funk among others. The DJ, Maanila, weaving together traditional and contemporary Brazilian beats, creates a dynamic soundscape that propels Helena and Evandro through their movements, and together, the three performers share stories, conversations, reflections using sounds and music as tools to create an immersive experience for the audience. The open-air setting of the festival amplifies the connection between the performers and the crowd, inviting all to partake in the celebration.
