Smashing Wor(l)ds: Cultural Practices for re/Imagining & un/Learning Vocabularies

A multimedia festival in search of cartographies of immersion and affective vocabularies of historical memories.

We seek to create utterances outside the singular truth of universal knowledge. We want to shatter the world and, through our words, create other worlds. What is happening in our minds? Are we speaking of the future or only of the immediate present? Are we discussing escape routes into other possible, invented worlds? Invented by whom and for whom?

THE EVENT:

For this festival, Ironica Los Culos was invited to bring the first day to a close with a transformative party.
To achieve this, the seasoned team from Vienna is Tropical joined forces: Valentina Viera transfigured the DJ booth into a
tropical-futuristic altar, while Maanila de Moraes mapped the Belvedere 21 using, among other elements, the project’s developed "affective vocabularies." DJs Ironica Los Culos and La Machi took over the decks, fueling the energy of the crowd and turning the dancefloor into a space where new worlds could emerge.
